Your skin is the body’s largest organ, and should be treated it with the same respect we treat our other organs – if we carefully consider what we put into our bodies, we should carefully consider what we put onto our bodies.
Topical skin care can be absorbed through the skin and into the blood stream. The skin is a permeable membrane. The good news is that it will absorb the good stuff as well, meaning our outer protective layer (aka our skin) needs to be nurtured and respected. Not all ingredients will have a negative impact on your health, so its worth knowing which are the ones that pose little risk and which ones we should completely avoid, especially if you want to reduce your chemical load (don't fret, we will tell you all of this, and you need to know that none of our products contain any nasties or detrimental ingredients).
Some say that plant-based ingredients are better able to mimic the skin’s structure and support its health.
We believe that through informed choice, you can be empowered by knowledge so that you can decide what products to buy. To this end we strive to give you as much information as possible. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to in your quest for your healthiest skin.
It has been said that you are what you eat. However, I believe it goes much deeper than that, I believe you are what you eat, digest, assimilate, excrete, what you drink, think and do!
